Information We Collect
We do not collect personal data on our servers. NestLog operates entirely on your device, with optional syncing through your personal iCloud account under your Apple ID. Specifically:
- No account required and no developer-operated databases.
- Entries you create (e.g., feeds, sleep, diapers, medicine, allergens/reactions, measurements, milestones, notes) are stored locally on your device and, if you enable it, in your iCloud. We, the developer, do not have access to this data.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs are used. We do not collect usage analytics or advertising identifiers.
- Crash/diagnostic data is not collected by us. Apple may collect device analytics per your system settings, governed by Apple’s policies.
- Purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store/StoreKit. We do not receive your payment card details.
How We Use Information
We do not collect or process your personal data on our servers. The app processes your entries locally on your device and, if enabled, iCloud sync is handled by Apple under your Apple ID.
- Enable core features like logging feeds, sleep, diapers, medicine, measurements, and milestones — all locally on your device.
- Optionally sync your data between your devices via iCloud (Apple) if you turn this on.
- Respond to your support requests if you contact us (we receive only the information you send us, such as your email).
- Process in‑app purchases and subscriptions through Apple’s App Store.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. Because we do not operate our own servers for your data, there is no routine sharing by us. The following interactions may occur as part of using Apple services:
- iCloud and App Store/StoreKit (Apple) for syncing and purchases, under your Apple ID and Apple’s policies.
- Service providers we use for support communication (e.g., email), limited to what you send us.
- Legal compliance if required by law.
Data Retention
Your data resides on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account. We do not host or retain your entries on developer-controlled servers. You can delete entries within the app at any time. Removing the app does not automatically delete data stored in iCloud; you can manage iCloud data in iOS Settings.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, or portability. You can also:
- Export your data using the app’s CSV export feature.
- Delete entries or entire babies from within the app.
- Manage iCloud syncing and data in iOS Settings.
Children’s Privacy
NestLog does not collect any personal information about children or babies. The app is rated 4+ and suitable for general audiences. Caregivers may record entries locally for their own use; this information remains under their control on their device and iCloud (if enabled).
International Data Transfers
We do not operate servers or transfer your data internationally. If you enable iCloud, syncing and storage are provided by Apple and governed by Apple’s infrastructure and policies.
Security
Data you enter is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, in iCloud under your Apple ID. We rely on iOS and iCloud security features to protect your information. No developer-operated backend stores your entries.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Effective date" above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
